That same study revealed that doubling workout times to forty minutes the same number of days wasted time because no one lost weight that way. This is enough to say that you have to do away with slow cardio as you build your muscles and get ripped. You’ll be surprised at how fast you can lose 20 pounds.

Leave Stomach Flab Behind Through Bursting Workouts

Intervals are more difficult than a traditional aerobic workout for sure. Keep in mind, though, that interval workouts are shorter becasue you get a lot done quickly.

Here I’m going to show you a little bit about the approach to intervals.Begin by warming up for a few minutes with some traditional exercises.

Once that’s done, you need to get started with an interval: work very hard for a sixty second period.

Now that the minute is over, you continue with a lower intensity for another minute or two.Now that your first iteration is finished, do it again for 5 or 6 more rounds and then do a cool-down rate for serveral minutes. Intervals are great for rapid weight loss.

You see, intervals can cycle for a variety of times starting from a five second burst to a five minute burst. To optimize for burning off fat, you should look at half a minute to a minute of intensity with one or two minutes for recovery.

A common inquiry I get is about what kind of gear is best for doing intervals for fat burning.

As far as machinery goes, you should consider a treadmill and do some sprinting bursts on it to work out your abs, leg muscles and your back’s muscles too. You get a good turbulent workout when sprinting because of all the muscles that you engage. There’s the calorie burn and then there’s the metabolic benefits that you get too: those last way beyond the time your workout ends.

You’re going to experience some issues transporting a treadmill wherever you go. Also, as you use it, the controls might be hard to adjust. So a good compromise is that exercise bike, although it’s hard to transport just as much as the treadmill. Keep it up and you’ll lose 20 pounds.
