How To Stop Feeling So Depressed

In the last few weeks I have taken the big step of talking to my mum and dad about my problems with depression. My mother has said that she thinks we have some kind of depression gene as most of our family suffer from similar symptoms.

I would like to start by making it clear that I do not work in the “depression” industry; I personally offer a link building service; fostering solutions and cheap flyer printing.

I have as recently as last week suffered with a severe bout of this depression, however from it I learnt a valuable lesson. I was in the middle of a stage in my life where just about all things were going what I call “pear shaped”. I had nothing to look forward to and decided that I needed a night out with my friends. There was one intention that I had in mind which was to get as drunk as possible.

The next day I felt really ill and hungover after having a very late night and as planned a huge amount of alcohol. For the whole day I struggled to stay awake and as the day wore on I became more and more depressed. The lesson I have learnt is that is not a good idea to go out drinking alcohol if you are feeling low and depressed.

I have to say that my mum and dad are in fact extremely astute people which makes me wonder why I did not seek their advice on a more often basis in the past. This turned out to be a perfect example of this as they once again gave me some top guidance. They asked me to think about all of the things and aspects of my life that were getting me down~They wanted me to write a list of all of my worries and problems; the things that were causing me to spiral in and out of depression}~They wanted me to write a list of all of my worries and problems; the things that were causing me to spiral in and out of depression}. What I then needed to do was to talk about them and to think positive by attempting to find solutions to each of these problems.

This is not at all easy to do but is something I now try. I have realised that it is good to talk about our fears and phobias and that there is nothing wrong with admitting that you are stressed and depressed.

I now try to think positive in all situations, life is far too short to be always worrying about everything. I have also started to read a lot of self-help books, these have taught me quite a lot of new things and have given me many new ideas.

Eradicate Depression

Do you suffer from depression? Have you lost the will to live? Would you like to eradicate your depression once and for all? These are three questions that I would have certainly answered yes to a couple of years ago. I have however managed to eradicate the depression that plagued my life for so many years and am now able to live a happy and contented life.

I am not in any involved with the “depression industry” if there is such a thing; this article is purely explaining my experiences of depression. I am actually involved on a daily basis with helping with business cost cutting and I also help people to obtain cheap calls to mobiles. I have a third role which is working with a company that offers cheap holidays.

The cause of my personal depression

I have to say that the main cause of my depression was due to the fact that I had a stutter. This speech impediment basically ruined my life for eighteen years and was something that would often leave me feeling quite sorry for myself.

I feared for my overall future. How would I be able to get on in the world with this frustrating stutter? I was fully aware of just how it would negatively impact on my prospects for employment, relationships with friends and members of the opposite sex and overall confidence/happiness.

The solution

I was very fortunate to meet a very educated man called Jason when I was aged twenty-two. He persuaded me to fight back against all of my demons and gave me the belief that I would be able to overcome the stutter, as well as eradicating the depression.

You need to believe in yourself, you need to understand that there is a lot of people in a worse position than you and you need to be thankful of what you do have rather than solely concentrating on what you do not have, explained Jason.

You should be willing to work extremely hard to improve your life and to beat this depression.

The result

I am pleased to report that after working extremely hard I was able to find a cure for stuttering and was also able to find happiness, the depression and stutter have both been eradicated for once and for all.

Social Anxiety Treatment - Little Known Techniques That Are Totally Drug Free

Anxiety attack treatment. You may well be asking if there even is one. A drug free way to stop them.

Yes, without the use of drugs these attacks can be stopped. It’s not exactly a “cure” but as near as you will get. It’s not a magical pill but it will show you how to stop the attacks for good.

I suffered panic & anxiety attacks for a few years after a bad motorcycle spill. I used every possible drug to stop them. I didn’t see any benefit from the drugs but I knew anyway that any help they gave me would stop when I stopped the drugs.

This is the bad thing about drugs and panic attacks. If you even do get some benefit, it’s lost when you stop the drugs. Any decent doctor won’t let you take drugs for any length of time.

You will have to come off at some time. And that’s when the attacks will be back. And usually worse because you know damn well they are coming back with a vengeance.

I think we agree that the best answer is a treatment for social anxiety that doesn’t rely on any medication. I can tell you that this treatment does exist and I use it regularly. I have total control over my anxiety attacks now.

I was once stuck in a hole just waiting for the next random attack. I actually know what kicks my anxiety episodes off so “random” isn’t strictly true. If I’m in a crowd or group of about three to four people I can feel an attack starting.

Even a small group of people would set me off and have me running away, fast. In my subconscious mind I was aware that it was silly, there was no real danger. No matter, when I felt the panic rise, I was off like a jack rabbit.

I did a lot of searching for a long time, hopefully for a miracle cure to stop these attacks. It was worth the wait, oh yes was it worth the wait. Strangely though none of the doctors I saw mentioned a treatment like this.

You can keep on keeping on with your anxiety and your medication. Or decide to take thing in your own hands and check out what I put into action when an attack looms. I calmly stop it dead and carry on with what I was doing.

The Best Way To Stop Depression

Any person who has suffered with depression or who is currently suffering with depression will fully appreciate just how badly it can affect our lives. It is something that kind of creeps us on when we are least expecting it and then hits us for six. It can leave us feeling unable to complete the most simplest of tasks. The only way people can think is in the negative and the words of wisdom of people trying to help us only ever fall on deaf ears.

I suffered from a long bout of depression when I was in my teens. This was mainly due to the fact that I had a speech impediment, a stutter. This was something that virtually destroyed my self-esteem and despite my best efforts to increase confidence the stutter would always come back to bite me and ruin what ever progress I had made.

I did not want to continue living in this way, with a constant fear of stuttering, being down and depressed. The main problem however was the fact that the people who were meant to be helping me, the speech and language therapists, were forever telling me that there was not a known cure for stuttering. Well this was great news; I really needed to hear that! How was I ever supposed to break free from the cycle of depression and how was I ever supposed to start thinking positively when I had people like this destroying whatever hope that I had?

I was quite fortunate to have a superb family around me who eventually were able to drag me from the abyss. They convinced me to fight against this tide of negativity and to believe in myself. There was only one way to think and that was in a positive manner. I had to ignore what the speech therapists had said and had to keep believing that I could one day achieve fluency. I also had to start working hard to enable this day to become a reality.

As my father once said:

“There is no time for depression; you have too much work to do – to eradicate the stutter and to learn how to increase your overall confidence levels”.

I worked very hard and had some major battles with my inner demons but was eventually able to overcome the depression and the stuttering problem.

Dealing with depression

In this life there are many joys and happiness a person can and does experience.  But on the flip side of that, there are also many heartbreaks and sadness that can occur as well.Obviously, emotions that you experience like joy doesn’t have to be addressed.But some emotions that are negative like sadness or a heartbreak can
lead to cases of depression. 

Well in this article I am going to share some advice I have learned through education and practice as a family counselor San Diego.

Simple and plain, depression is one of the toughest human emotions to deal with.  Once a person starts becoming depressed because of things that happen in life, it takes professional depression counseling to deal with it.

Now there are a few different types of depression.Severe types of depression could be some sort of clinical depression.A lot of times, medication is the only way you can treat that.  This can be caused not necessarily all from circumstances.  But it could be caused by a chemical imbalance within the body of the person depressed.

But if the depression is not caused by some sort of chemical imbalance, but due more to circumstances, counseling may be the best option to take.

The reasons for depression is going to different among people.  What could hardly affect one person, could trigger depression in another.What make it difficult in trying to deal with someone who has depression is the fact that they are already fragile emotionally.It is going to have to be really compassionate counseling to be able to handle it.

Not knowing the proper way to address someone in depression can be devastating.Extreme cases where suicide is a possibility.Or depression can even cause a person to not be able to function in society as a result.

It is during those times that depression has to be dealt with through a depression counselor.It is a delicate balance you have to use to determine if a perons is just feeling depressed temporarily or is it a sign of a severe case. 

Communicating with someone and checking to see if it goes on for a few weeks will be a good indicator.  If it does go several weeks, you may need to seek professional help.

With what is on the line in terms of how a severe case of depression can lead to, it is one of the emotions you don’t want to leave untreated.

It can also happen to adolescents, and if that is the case you may want to seek some San Diego adolescent counseling.
